So the first step is, using a professional cover letter header that includes your name, telephone number, email address, name of the hiring manager, and name & address of the company you are applying for.
The next step is, opening your cover letter with a proper greeting. Next is, writing a catchy opening paragraph. Then explain why you are the perfect candidate, tell them why you are eager to join the company, and make your offer in the closing paragraph. Keep it short.

When I apply for the graphic designer at the jacket outlet, I attached a cover letter along with my resume where I simply clarified by my skills and previous; why I am the right candidate for the job.
