7 Effective Ways to Deal with Stressful and Lazy Days Original post: Thu 8/8/2019 at 7:09 AM

Life is hard and what’s even harder? Student life since you are expected to take care of a plethora of things on your own. Many of us have more on our plate than we would like to have. This can lead to you feeling overwhelmed, especially when you're starting your day. Waking up feeling like you can't do all you need to do is difficult. Here are some useful ways to deal with this.

1. Get dressed for the day

If you are in your PJs then you don't feel ready to face a long day. An occasional lazy day in pyjamas is something we all need. But if you are aiming to be productive then get out of the PJs! Dress in real clothes and take time to do your hair if that is part of your usual routine. Always ready to face the day always helps me to feel motivated.

When you are dressed up, you are likely to feel that you are all set to encounter all the challenges that may come your way. So, never underestimate the importance of dressing up.

2.Define the priorities

When you feel like the list of things to do for each day is a mile long. You may feel overwhelmed because there was no way you can complete everything you want to do. When you go through this feeling, then know that it is high time that you to learn to prioritize. Set aside some time to make a list of things to do, but don't report more than 5 things about it. Choosing the 5 most important things that you need to accomplish will help you see what is important and what (little) things you need for a break emphasizing.

It is essential to prioritize your pending assignments. In case, you cannot manage to do them, then you can reach out to an assignment writing company to get the help from expert coursework writers UK online.

3. Do something that soothes you

All work and no play can make you an irritable person, at least if you're are a fun-loving person y nature! We all need balance in our lives. It is good to have a strong work ethic, but downtime is also required. Taking time for something you like or that soothes that you can actually make it more productive because you are well-rested and not suffering from burnout. Take time every day for something you like or something that helps you relax.

4. Light a candle

Candles are soothing. At least they feel soothing when you feel overwhelmed because of heavy workload. There is something about the soft glow of a candle and the light fragrance that makes your home cozy and welcoming. You may find that some scents are more calming than others. There are actually even candles that are designed to give you the stress relief that is an interesting concept to try. So, make sure you invest in candles and place them on your study table.

5. Call a friend

Over what overwhelmed you can be useful. And let's say it; time with a genuine friend always lifts your spirit! You can help chill out and not feel so overwhelmed with life. Even if he/she is just gossiping about the latest on a show you both love; it's a welcome distraction from the chaos of life. After a chat with a beast, you will feel more prepared to face the things that need to be done.

6. Put into perspective

All you need is to realize the fact that the world will not end without completing all your tasks. It is, without a doubt, a big step. Perfectionists often feel frustrated when they do not complete the day they perfectly planned. It is not important to do every single task in a perfect way. Gaining a little perspective is key.

7. Decide that what you do or what you have is good enough

You don't have to be perfect! If you spent the day and did your best then accept it as a great day. It's okay if some things cross over into tomorrow. It can be very useful to focus on what you did get done rather than what you didn't.

These are some tips to help you if you wake up feeling stressful and lazy. We really hope they are useful to you.
